I've got a firehose of information to share from the happy, thriving world of open source Bitcoin + Nostr + AI. We've got a world of solutions for devs, musicians, content creators, and YOU.

I started writing daily online on December 1, 2021.

Since then, I've...

• Honed my niche

• Created a newsletter

• Created a video podcast

• Begun a second website

If I had to do it all over again, here are 5 things I'd do differently.

Thing #1: Don't do what everyone else is doing.

At the time, I thought Patreon, Substack, and Revue were good ideas.

They weren’t.

I wasted the month of December on those.

Instead, now I use Ghost to replace all three.

Thing #2: Focus on your content. And the process.

I really thought 90 days of consistency was going to give me more page views and a larger audience.

It didn't.

Progress didn't come until well after day 100.

Thing #3: First, you have to commit.

One of my biggest mistakes was pouring too much time and effort into long-form content upfront!

I shouldn't have.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd do write short pieces daily first. Because that is what unlocks:

• A sustainable writing habit

• More readability for your audience

• More free time to repurpose content faster

Thing #4: Don't stop at writing.

I turned written content into podcasts, short-form audio, and short-form video.

Eventually, I saw video is where you gain traction.

Then, I had to figure out which kind of video would be the best use of my time.

But it took daily iteration on ideas to get me to this point.

Thing #5: Always remember this is a process.

It works out better when you approach it as a PROCESS.

YOUR process.

Don't pay attention to influencers.

There are no guarantees & they are getting paid to hawk stuff.

You’re not. Your ass is on the line. Not theirs. You have to figure out what works for YOU. And YOUR audience.

TL;DR: 5 things I'd do differently to achieve better content, faster.

• Don't do what everyone else is doing.

• Focus on your content.

• Commit!

• Don't stop at writing.

• Focus on the process.
