Imagine you have a system that allows you to find and focus on your most important tasks easily. Everything is accounted for and you find it a pleasure ticking off tasks as you complete them.

That's a reality for me now I've revamped the way I use Todoist. Here's my system:

Inbox

I add a new task as soon as it comes into my head. All new tasks go into the Inbox for processing later.
Each day or during my weekly review I process the inbox and determine if the task is still relevant and where it belongs in my task system.
I'll also assign a priority if it's relevant - Red = This Week, Yellow = This Month, Blue = This Quarter.

Projects

Tasks related to projects I'm actively working on (PARA). I subdivided this into sections to better organize my tasks under their associated project.
Some of my projects include: My Newsletter, My eBook - Design Faster Design Better, and a house decluttering project I'm currently working on.

Areas

Tasks related to my areas of responsibility (PARA). I subdivided this into sections to better organize everything.
Some of my areas include: Content Creation, Content Consumption, Life Admin, Social Media, Web Dev, and Skills Development.

Research Topics

When I come across something I'd like to look up later I put it on this list. Then when I have some time I can look through this list and do some online exploring.

Books

For collecting book recommendations.

TV + Movies
