20 days into the new year AND 20 freezing cold morning showers.
Here are the 5 things I've learned:
1/ Less anxiety and stress throughout the day. The physical and mental stress of a cold shower prepares you for the stressful moments in your day.
2/ Cold showers don't cure a hangover. No matter how cold the shower or how mild the hangover.
3/ The more you do it, the longer you can stay in the shower. I started by doing 2 minutes then 2.5 minutes then 3 minutes and now I'm up to 5 minutes. It's just as bad as the 2 minutes but not any worse.
4/ It doesn't get easier. Every morning is a struggle. I thought it would get easier, but it really doesn't, you just get tougher.
5/ The biggest benefit to morning showers is the confidence it gives you. If you wake up every morning and choose to put your body into freezing cold temperatures you start with a win. Wins compound.
