Pizza, Hot Dogs and Toilet Paper: 3 Fun Observations About Norway That Will Make You Laugh

Wondering what it's like to live in Norway? Here are 3 fun observations:

1. A frozen pizza is their national dish (just kidding)

Grandiosa is a frozen ham and cheese pizza, with a some red paprika bits on top. It's the highest sold pizza in Norway. 24 million pizzas are made a year for a 5.4 million population.

I think it's gross and tastes like cardboard in a box. Most Norwegians (including my husband), think it's the best pizza in the world.

I gag as I write this.

2. Hot dogs are one of the most popular fast foods

Their hot dogs make up for the fact that their pizza is so disgusting.

You can get them at any gas station. Choose from skinny dogs, fat dogs, or hot dogs wrapped in bacon.

Top them with fried onions, shrimp salad or fresh onions. You can choose a warm hot dog bun and/ or add a lompe (potato tortilla).

Norway sells 37,400 tonnes of hot dogs per year, which is 7,2 kg per person ..or 120 hot dogs per person/ year.

That's a lot of hot dogs.

3. The gas stations are mini-marts with really clean toilets

Not only can you get sodas, coffee, candy, and hot food.

The toilets are CLEAN and relatively roomy. And they're stocked with toilet paper.

If you're a guy, maybe you don't care so much. Heck, you could pee on the side of the road. When you're a female, it's a pretty big deal.

That's my 250 word limit for today.

Let me know how you liked it. :)
