I am an extremely organised person and have tried every app and aid that I think will help me become even more organised. Though not the most beautiful solution, Notion has become the personal website of my dreams. I haven't found anything more flexible and able to grow with me. Its concept is that of a blank notebook - open to any idea I would like to jot down, but one with magical powers, moving around at will.
When you adopt it into your life, you will find:
It will make your important information more readable by giving you a strict structure
It will make your important information more accessible by giving you ways to look at your information
It will allow you to manipulate your information and therefore make it more powerful
How does it do this?
Notion divides its content into a strict hierarchy: workspaces (which act like your homepage) , pages (all information is organised on a page), and blocks. Every piece of content on Notion is a block.
Notion allows us to organise blocks in a multitude of ways so that information can be toggled on and off and can be moved into tables, kanban charts or Gantt charts.
Users can also draw relationships between blocks and pages and place these blocks into powerful tables that act as databases.
What does this mean?
Being able to manipulate this amount of data means that a Notion workspace is like a living thing. It is endlessly changing. Once created it will evolve into a highly personalised structure that will adapt as you and your needs change.
