I write about identity drift and how to stay aligned without blowing up your life.

What They Won’t Leave Alone
Your child keeps pointing out that the younger kids never get a turn in the game.
You say, “It’s just a game.”
But they bring it up again. So you ask, “What would you change?”
They start making new rules.
Ikigai is a Japanese idea about what makes life feel worth living. Parents often look for clues in what kids love doing.
But there’s another clue: what bothers them enough to do something about it.
The problems children choose to fix can tell us what matters to them.
Next time your child can’t let something go, don’t be so quick to make them move on.
Give them a chance to make it better.
