The Power Of LinkedIn & Writing Online: Connecting With People From All Over The World With Common Interests
by John Wazydrag

LinkedIn never ceases to amaze me.

LinkedIn is simply the best social media platform.

The opportunity to meet people is endless. It is the only platform where you are able to reach people from all over the world with your content while in a more professional setting. Maybe other platforms have this capability too, but LinkedIn takes the cake for me.

I made a post the other day about beginning my journey preparing for the Chicago Half Marathon.

Among the likes, cheers, and encouragement from friends and strangers, I got words of advice from another CPA in my network, Robert. He even wrote me a private message with some more advice and sent over a calendly link with an offer to chat for a few minutes if I had any questions.

I was shocked.

Someone who doesn't even know me saw my post, and because of their interest in the same sport, wants to help me be successful in reaching my goal? How amazing is that!

I didn't even think about it and booked a call for the next available slot.

I don't know what I'm getting myself into with this half marathon, so I'll take any advice I can get.

The phone conversation was fantastic. We got to know each other professionally after which we discussed the best way he found to prepare for the half-marathon. We went in depth about 'The Run-Walk Method' developed by Jeff Galloway, a preparation program that Robert swears by.

All it took was one post.

My post wasn't anything crazy or special, and I didn't go viral.

I just wanted to share what I will be working toward. It lead to a seriously cool and valuable connection. If I never made that post, this connection would have never happened.

You'd be surprised what kind of connections and opportunities come from simply writing online.

If you don't write online, but are interested in starting, just get started.

It's all upside and no downside.

The all-in-one writing platform.

Write, publish everywhere, see what works, and become a better writer - all in one place.
