A Story About How Ignoring One's Personality Type and Traits Meant Working In The Wrong Career
John Harmer

Let me tell you about this guy named Jack.

Jack was easygoing, creative wihout realising it, a bit of a dreamer, who loved to tell stories.

Dumbass, – he ended up working as a CPA. A career that didn't satisfy. How did that happen? Jack the boy, listened to his father's advice.

Jack ended up spendng his working life doing work he hated. Kept gpoing only because there were opportunities to chatwith clients so he could help them realise their dreams.

But man, it wasn't his jam.

You can see it. Jack, was the guy who thrived on finding out new things then ways for others to use what he'd learned. .

While he was stuck in his office adding up numbers and pushing papers around.

It was soul-destroying for a man who wanted to teach others.

It wasn't until Jack retired that he talked things over with a mate. That he saw a new pathway to follow. .

One day, he stumbled upon what his real passion was. Pointing out how we should all use the innate personalities and traits we are born with to guide us in whatever we do..

There's no point in training to become an elite athlete if winning doesn't matter to you. No value in trying to become a bandit if your honesty trait keeps getting in your way.

Jack's passion project is being built into a side hustle.. One that lets him help others succeed at their maximum potential.

It will keep Jack busy in his retirement But is one that should have begun decades earlier.

Jack knows now that he could build a career around what truly grabs him..

Jack's story isn't unique. Far too many of us work in careers that don't suit us. So think about what you are doing and whether it fulfills your needs? If it doesn't look for a career or business activity that does.
