In my previous post I mentioned that Christianity doesn't seem to be having the impact you might expect. Why is that?
1) Christians spend too much time focusing on the end of the world. The Biblical command is to Disciple The Nations (Matthew 28), not to try and figure out who the "Antichrist" is or when Jesus is returning.
2) Christians mistake the Biblical Heavenly focus to mean that this current material reality does not matter. What we are ACTUALLY supposed to be doing is bringing that Heavenly Reality DOWN HERE TO EARTH!
3) Christians tend to think that a REAL calling would be to be a minister or missionary of some kind. But actually, God can call you to many different vocations and you can glorify Him right there in that! While the building that you build on earth might perish, the character you build in yourself an the Glory you bring to God, and the impact you have on others in the midst of it all is FOREVER.
