In this essay, I'm sharing the shadow part of becoming a founder I see!
Owners/ builders/ founders of succesfull companies are considered successful, recognized, and financially independent individuals having well-deserved respect in the industry.
I cannot put into words how much respect I have for them. It would be an outstanding achievement for me to reach your level, especially considering:
Here are some consequences and alternate costs that I and my biases see about the journey of those wanting to run a scalable service business:
The boundary between work and private life is blurry.
Employees' life relays on and depends on the employer, so indirectly, leadership influences/ impacts workers' essential life decisions (like taking a mortgage, ..) and their sense of security. Payroll is merciless regardless of the number of projects, and being cheated company risks.
Must of accepting that sharing responsibility with others (often strangers, newcomers), trusting them, taking the quality and engagement thresholds is the way to scale.
Learning sales, marketing, business, and many others I have no idea about isn't a choice but a highly demanding duty.
Years of hustling impact relationships, restfulness & health, but it generates opportunities and helps to "be lucky" by some accidental things.
Starting small and being satisfied with initial results comparing them to the appetite is an ego challenge.
Being dedicated and losing agility/ freedom is a part of the game.
For now, I am not that brave to even try, but you inspire me soo much!
