Many of you go all out to find self-love. You would implement a lot of practices into your life. You would try advice that people give out.
It would be anything that claimed to help you to love yourself. For example, going to the gym, doing yoga, reading books, journaling, self-affirmation, going out exploring, etc. However, it aids only when you give yourself time to get comfortable with it.
You can't push everything you see and hear into you. You won't be able to manage it and it's overwhelming with how much you need to do. This is why loving yourself takes time to achieve.
Just because you implement it into your life doesn't mean it's permanent and that it will make an impact on you. That is not how life work when it comes to improving. Improving and growing comes from doing a practice daily until it becomes an unconscious practice.
Don't give yourself a time spam since this can sometimes put you down when you couldn't achieve it. Instead, remember to practice it every day until it's a habit of yours. You can't be stressing yourself over something that takes time.
Self-love needs a lot of effort to put into, but not to the point of disappointing yourself. This process should be stress free and enjoyable. In addition, it's a learning process since it's just the beginning.
You will achieve it when times comes. Therefore, keep practicing even when in doubt. You can't give up so easily on something you want to improve on. You will eventually find love for yourself.
"It is so important to take time for yourself and find clarity. The most important relationship is the one you have with yourself." – Diane Von Furstenberg
