Day 4: How I Got Interested In Studying The Bible
Kathleen Goble

I wouldn't call myself an expert on the Bible.

After all, who could comprehend the vastness of God, the depth of His wisdom, or His perfect knowledge?

However, I have spent over 35 years reading and studying the Bible.

There are many excellent Bible teachers and speakers (some of whom I plan to share about in subsequent posts).

I will focus on how the Bible's timeless principles can be applied to contemporary life.

Here's how I first got interested in the things of God

Years ago, a friend encouraged me to join her at a well-attended Christian conference. I met interesting people at the meeting—including actors and successful business executives. Many appeared well-versed in Scripture and demonstrated a remarkable passion for God and His Son, Jesus Christ.

Pleasantly surprised by the variety of people I met, I remember thinking that only God could put together such a diverse crowd.

I was young, just starting a career and finishing my MBA, and I was intrigued that so many business people would be interested in the Bible.

I thought, what does the God of the Bible have to do with business?

A whole new world (literally) opened up.

One of my goals this year...

Is to pursue God like never before and share what I learn online.
