I can't believe the first month of this year is already over. To say it has flown by would be an understatement.
This month, I've made some progress toward my goals but I'm not on schedule. Let's break it down.
Optimise My Writing Habit
A reminder of my writing goals:
52 Medium articles
12 high-quality blog posts that show my expertise
So far, I've published four stories on Medium, earning a bit less than $2.50. If I double that, my Medium subscription is free, yay.
I posted once on my website but it's not exactly a high-quality blog post.
Earn €100,000 As a Freelancer
While my heart wants to go down the entrepreneurial road, my brain knows that fixed income is needed right now. That's why I'm going all-in on freelance copywriting and editing.
This month, I've billed just over €4,000. That's about half of what I need to reach my goal, but there are some nuances:
I've billed about €550 from work performed last year, but there's about €1000 of work I haven't billed yet.
I took a few days off this month.
My hourly rate or project rate tends to increase during the year, so let's hope for higher-earning months near the end of the year.
Run a Marathon
When I turned 28, I set a few goals to complete before I turn 29. Running a marathon is one of them. I've already postponed it to "before the end of 2022" and again, I didn't make a great start.
Progress this month:
0 km ran; played one game of futsal (I know this doesn't count).
Lost 0 kg. (I may have even gained some extra...)
February Extra
While this isn't one of my BHAGs, I will spend February trying to double the size of my podcast following. I'll tweet about this in public via @coffeepens.
