We all have these moments, don't we? We look back at some stupid decision we made and think, "Man, if I could only know back then what I know now."

It's natural.

So, with that said, I've had my own. So here's what I'd tell 18-year-old me. Check out # 5 👀

"You're going to college. No other option."

As a kid, you're impressionable. As a teenager, possibly more so.

So, you see no other route.

But college isn't the only way, and not going doesn't mean you're a failure.

Time seems endless when you're young.

It seems finite as you get older.

Cherish the time, people, and experiences you have. They'll be gone fast.

Forcing yourself to do something you don't want results in a disaster.

Follow what you think is best.

But, know even the things you think are best will require hard work beyond what you imagined.

Your friends will disappoint you. They'll hurt you, and some will make you cry.

But they're human.

The same way you screw up and make mistakes, they do too.

Mistakes are lessons. I wouldn't change any mistake I've made because it's allowed me to grow and learn.

Without these mistakes, I'm not writing this post to my former self.

The best teacher is experience, and experience has taught me more than any school ever could.
