There are many things we ignore about the biological side of human connection.
For example, did you know...
Social pain is real. A feeling of rejection usually triggers it. Research has shown people with a recent heartbreak can feel relief by taking painkillers. So maybe skip the tequila and karaoke next time you ❤️🩹?
Attachment is vital for healthy development. Since part of our evolution success has relied on social structures and dependability; if missing at a young age, it can create social issues in the future.
Self-control is the most valuable trait (socially speaking). Who would you choose to share space with: someone with or without self-control? 🤔
For anyone in this field, this stuff is common knowledge.
But to some, these may come across as fun facts. However, there are very weird things about this topic, and today I'm sharing one of my favourites with you.
Cute aggression
If you have had a partner who insists on biting you, or you have been tempted to squeeze, bite, pinch or "eat" a puppy or a baby just out of pure cuteness, you are not alone.
Cute aggression results from an emotional overload that prevents potential physical damage to the beholder 😅. It's similar to crying when happy or nervous laughter.
Crazy, right?
