The Top 5 Self Improvement Books On My Reading List Right Now
Luke Haddrick 🚢

I've been on a bit of a personal mission this past decade.

You might also call it an obsession.

What I was searching for wasn't something you can buy in a Cyber Monday Sale. I was desperately craving something far less tangible than you can grasp in your hands.

And then I realised something.

Maybe what I was seeking couldn't truly be found at a destination. Maybe it wasn't about arriving anywhere, but about the 'journey' itself.

That journey is personal growth. The progress towards greater knowledge so that we can interpret ourselves and the world more clearly.

The best part about this realisation is that the process is never complete. We can always keep growing, learning, improving.

Here are the top 5 books on my reading list right now:

  1. The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle, is a transformative lesson about how self-love, inner-peace and enlightenment can be found by surrendering to the present moment.

  2. The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel, is a collection of short stories exploring the strange ways people think about money and how we can make better sense of it.

  3. The Tools by Phil Stutz & Barry Michels, is a book I've been desperate to read since watching Jonah Hill's insightful documentary into the mind of his therapist, renowned psychiatrist Phil Stutz.

  4. Breath by James Nestor, is a timely reminder that there is nothing more essential to our health and wellbeing than breathing. I suffer from sleep issues so I'm keep to put these theories to the test.

  5. Mindset by Carol S. Dweck, explains that it's not just talent or abilities that bring us success, but whether we approach our goals with a fixed or growth mindset.

I'm excited to see which book has the most impact on my personal and professional life. Drop me a comment and let me know which books you're reading at the moment.
