Welcome to my Social Blog

The above quote changed my perception of selling. Hopefully, it can change yours too. Here is why selling is primarily an act of exchanging value:

1. Because Exchange of value is the core of our economy

Our economy is built on the exchange of value. When you create something, what you are creating is (hopefully) something of value.

And what you are selling is not your creation. Rather it is the value derived from that creation. It is important to keep this always in mind.

2. A great salesperson is keen to add value to clients

And a great salesperson is not motivated by the money derived from the sale. Rather they are motivated by the value added to their clients.

This is why companies with purpose excel when the market does not do well. Because these companies are motivated by the value addition.

It is important to sell with the motivation to change your client lives positively.
