10 Journal Prompts to Start 2026 With Clarity
Mariel Diaz

A new year. A clean slate.

Not because January 1st holds some magical power, but because you get to choose what this year becomes.

2026 is a blank page. What you write on it is entirely up to you.

These questions cut through the noise. They help you see what you actually want, not what you think you should.

Grab your journal, turn off notifications. These aren't questions to rush through. They're designed to help you see where you want to focus your energy.

Questions for Building an Intentional 2026

1. What do you want to feel this year? Not accomplish. Not achieve. Feel. Because how you want to feel is what will guide every choice you make. What's the feeling you're after?

2. Who do you want to become? Not what you want to achieve. Who you want to be. What qualities do you want to embody?

3. What do you want to be known for? Not your achievements. Not your credentials. The impact you have. The way people feel around you. The quality you bring. What matters most to you about how you show up?

4. What would success look like if no one else could see it? Strip away the external markers. The titles, the metrics, the validation. What would success feel like from the inside?

5. Where do you need to trust yourself more? In your business. Your relationships. Your decisions. Your intuition. Where are you seeking permission or validation instead of trusting what you already know?

6. What would you do if failure wasn't an option? If you didn't second-guess. If you didn't need external validation. If you just acted on what you know. What would you do?

7. What's calling you forward right now? The direction that excites you. The possibility that won't leave you alone. What keeps pulling at your attention?

8. What do you want to build this year? Not maintain. Not fix. Build. What are you ready to create that doesn't exist yet?

9. What are you ready to say yes to this year? The opportunity, the challenge, the direction that excites you. What's getting a yes?

10. If you fully committed to one thing this year, what would it be? Not three things. Not five. One. The thing that would make everything else either easier or irrelevant. What's the one thing?

Pour yourself something warm, turn off your notifications, and take your time with each question. As you move through them, tune into your mind, body, and feelings. Let your intuition guide you.

What emerges onto the page will show you exactly where to direct your energy this year.
