Your Best Teachers Have Four Legs and Sticky Fingers

Have you ever watched a toddler have a complete meltdown over the wrong color cup, then five minutes later be belly-laughing at absolutely nothing?

Or a bunny shake vigorously after escaping a scary situation, then immediately go back to sniffing flowers like nothing happened?

They know something we've forgotten.

Children and animals are masters of what we've made impossibly complicated: releasing energy from their systems. They don't hold onto stress. They don't store trauma in their bodies for decades. They feel it fully, discharge it completely, and move on.

A child will scream until they're empty, then ask for a snack. A deer will literally shake off the terror of being chased, then return to grazing. No therapy needed. No complex healing protocols. Just pure, instinctive wisdom.

But somewhere along the way, we learned to be "appropriate." To hold it together. To stuff it down and soldier on. We were taught that big emotions were inconvenient, that shaking meant weakness, that crying was dramatic.

So we became experts at storage instead of release.

We accumulated stress like old newspapers, stacking trauma in our shoulders and anxiety in our chest. We turned our bodies into storage units for everything we were told not to feel.

Here's what I want you to know: that wisdom is still inside you. Your nervous system remembers how to shake, how to cry until empty, how to laugh until breathless. You just need to remember how to be wild again.

The healing you're seeking isn't in the next course or YouTube video. It's in remembering how to move like a child, feel like an animal, and trust that you still remember how to let go.

Your body already knows how to release everything you've been holding onto. All you have to do is give yourself permission.
