Imagine a leopard complaining because its spots make it easy to be seen by its prey. While forgetting it’s one of the fastest, strongest creatures in the savannah. That’s how some people look at their mistakes and weaknesses. Make sure you recognize and nurture your strengths with intention more than you highlight your weaknesses.
Even when you are working on a team of people specialized on the same thing, you all will have different strengths and areas of growth. Instead of focusing on blindly and ferociously competing with your teammates, or worst, everyone, try to identify what stands out in you and in others. Exalt those traits in others, cultivate bonds between people that compliment each other’s strengths.
Let the spots be the talk of others when you are walking around them.
