I research and write about anything related to the disruptive capabilities of decentralized, peer-to-peer systems.

Lens Protocol Explained

Traditional social media platforms are centralized, meaning that a single entity has control over the network and focuses profits to the owners of the platform. Social media platforms built on Web3 technology are decentralized and focus on protecting the individual’s privacy and directing profit to the content creators.

About Lens Protocol

Lens Protocol is a decentralized, social graph that uses blockchain technology for social media dApp development. It not only allows anyone to design and build their own unique social media platform but, most importantly, provides the framework for interoperability between the platforms to facilitate the building of decentralized social media communities.

Lens protocol allows users to have total control over their profile and monetization of their platform. The blockchain used is a Polygon PoS network.
