Lists are an important part of my daily productive system.
Since I started using productivity applications I have evaluated a ton of them. Up until quite recently Reminders was a pretty limited tool and would not fit anyone with a complex workflow. Apple has put a lot of work into the application and the feature set is more rich.
The application has become the tool I recommend for new people in need of listmanager.
1. Tags, Lists and Subtasks - You can quickly and easily create lists to organise your tasks in Reminders. To help you further with your organisation you can add subtasks to a task. With the built in tags it is possible to add additional dimensions to the task lists.
2. Smart lists - A new feature in the lates release is the ability to create smart lists. With these you can create dynamic listings that uses date, time, flags, location and tags to get a subset of all your tasks.
3. Location based notifications - Imagine getting a notification when you park the car outside the grocery store with a reminder for all the things you need to buy. Location based notification in reminders does just this.
4. Sharing of task lists - Sharing task lists with other people has become a feature that is more or less mandatory in todays productivity apps and reminders delivers gracefully on this expectation.
5. Everywhere - If you have a Mac, iPad or iPhone you have Reminders. If you connect your system to iCloud you also have fast and reliable syncing between them.
Bonus: If you are into automation of your workflows, Reminders is very friendly to automation tools and makes it easy to save clicks.
