I used to have a very complicated to do system that took a lot to maintain. After switching to the 3 list strategy I spent so much more time doing my to dos instead of teaching them.
Dealing emails twice a day took me a while to stick to, but once I did my productivity went through the roof. Chances are the email you were going to reply to won’t be read until tomorrow so do it later.
Deciding the last night what my priorities are today means I can wake up and get straight into it. I’ve eliminated the chances of being distracted by other thing when I have a clear plan. Having it in an index card staring at me is the perfect way to keep me on track.
I’ve procrastinated for as long as I can remember, but after reading this article the time I procrastinate is productive. I get so many odd jobs done when I’m putting off the more important task it’s ridiculous. I do limit myself to 30 minutes though so the important tasks still get done.
