There are a lot of books about cash flow and I've read most of them.
Cash flow is the beating heart of your business, without keeping a close eye it can quickly get out of control.
But the best book on cash flow I've found is Profit First by Mike Michalowicz.
For a few reasons:
Reason #1: It starts with the result and works back. Too many businesses wait until the job is over to find out if they have made a profit.
Reason #2: You will be able to focus on doing what you enjoy most instead of being stressed about money.
Reason #3: If followed properly there will always be money for what you need, when you need it.
Reason #4: It gives you a system to manage the money coming into and out of your business.
Reason #5: You will have a higher level view of the financial health of your business.
If you need a little help with your businesses cash flow, I can't recommend this book enough. I took this book on holiday with me one year and the day I got back I went through the steps to overhaul my businesses cash flow. It instantly pointed out my weak points and turned my business around.
(And if you've read it, do you agree? What other book would you recommend for beginners?)
