I love learning about meditation.
Unfortunately, when I first got interested in meditation, I had a hard time figuring out where to start.
So, if you are trying to learn more about meditation, here's the best way to get started:
Read This Book: The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle will give you a lay of the land, and is a helpful way to get your bearings. He explains how many of life's challenges stem from not being present in our day to day lives.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iN6g2mr0p3Q Headspace | Meditation | Changing Perspective is a must-watch beginner resource for anyone interested in meditation. Many people I have spoken to about meditation assume it involves deliberately blocking thoughts. The idea of sitting alone with nothing but our thoughts can be daunting. But as this video demonstrates, one key to meditation is merely to notice and accept when thoughts arise.
Listen To This Podcast: And if you really want to start going down the rabbit hole, listen to Cistercian Perfume by The Blindboy Podcast. Mental health is a topic Blindboy often covers in his podcasts. He is on a mission to democratise psychology so that its tools are accessible to anyone. In this episode from 2009 he breaks down his meditation routine and how it benefits him. He also gives a very short guided meditation which is an excellent gateway for anyone looking for a place to start.
These 3 resources will exponentially accelerate your learning process.
