2 months ago, when I first started to use gamification apps, I fell in love with them.

Gamification gives you rewards, collectibles, and community. It's a great way to make my boring tasks easier to handle. And partly it's true. Work started to feel easier and more enjoyable.

But it was a bandage on my problem.

I was doing things I didn't want to and tried to mask it with a fancy app.

Most people whether using this kind of app or not, have the same problem. They do things they don't want to, which was decided for them. By parents, by mentors, by society, but not themselves.

Why would you need a fancy gamification app, if you already enjoy what you're doing?

Your life is kind of a game. You're a character with your own stats, skills, and interests. You have daily quests, habits, status, and inventory. You're already in a game! You don't need another one.

All we need is to make the game of life more enjoyable.

Set your goals. By creating them you create a mission of your game.

Break it into milestones. They are your quests.

Invent your habits. They are your dailies.

Frame any situation you're in as a game mission. It will relieve the burden of the seriousness of your life, stress, and anxiety. Achieve the maximum potential, the maximum level, because it's what we have to demand from ourselves.

Don't spend your precious time bandaging your problems, solve them. That's what effective people do.
