I've read a few self-help books to date. Everything from finance to productivity.
But whenever I get asked for a recommendation, I always give the same answer.
Read "How to Win Friends & Influence People." By Dale Carnegie.
For a few reasons:
Reason #1: It teaches you how to deal with people
Reason #2: It teaches you how to become likable
Reason #3: It teaches you how to get others to agree with you
Reason #4: It teaches you how to change other's minds without causing resentment
Overall, it's a masterclass on human relations, a lifelong skill for everyone.
What this book has done for me:
It helped me go from an introvert to an extrovert
It helped me influence recruiters and get hired for 4+ jobs
It helped me make new friends - I used to have no plans on a Friday night, now my weekends are booked 2 or 3 weeks in advanced
That's just my story. I'm sure we all have different goals, but whatever you're looking to gain, I promise you'll get something out of this book.
