Are you a night owl struggling to tackle mornings? Don't worry, you're not alone! As someone who's always been a night owl, I've developed a 3-phase morning routine that makes them bearable and even productive. 1/6

PHASE 1: Splash water on my face three times as soon as I get out of bed. It's my first trigger of the day and it's an important one. Then I make my pour-over coffee. The process of building my morning drink is actually a nice way for me to rise and shine. 2/6

PHASE 2: Make my healthy NutriBullet breakfast. I also take the time to read during breakfast, pouring over reading material in digital or paper form. It's important to me, so I make sure it's "scheduled" as part of my morning routine. 3/6

PHASE 3: The day gets underway. Even on weekends, I maintain this morning routine because I know that if I deviate from it then the likelihood of my mornings (and, ultimately, my days) being derailed is very high. 4/7

I can't just sleep until 9 am every day and let the day get started without me. I need to get up and at 'em in the morning just like everybody else; I just choose to deal with my mornings in a manner that allows me to move forward in a way that works for me. 5/7

So, for all the night owls out there, don't abandon the way you work best. Instead, put some systemization in place at the start of your day to ensure that you can tackle mornings effectively and allow yourself to foster items of importance on a daily basis. 6/7
