I started using iOS notes app during my first semester in college and since graduating college in engineering, I never missed an assignment and have turned a few in early.
Before, I wasted time using an Agenda to track assignments even when I didn't work for me, and I kept forgetting to check it.
So, I created a Running List comprised of two features: a Checklist & Reminders
Learn from my mistakes, and save yourself from missed assignments by following these 2 steps guaranteed to help you keep track of assignments:
Step #1: Gather all the Syllabi
Gather all the syllabi for your class & pay attention to the assignments and due dates.
Step #2: Get a checklist (electronic or paper)
I prefer the Notes app on iOS for a checklist because feature automatically moves the completed tasks to the bottom for you.
Step #3: List all assignments by due date
It's ok if the assignment due dates change or they're up in the air. Put them on the checklist so you have them.
Step #4: Set a reminder to check the checklist every day
Pick a time to check your checklist each day so you don't miss any assignment. Soon you'll build the habit of checking it every day and won't need the reminder.
Step #5: Enjoy the satisfaction of completing assignments
When you complete an assignment, make sure to check the box on your checklist.
Then set your sights on the next assignment.
Or take a break because you know you'll stay ahead of your assignments with this method.
