Have you explored what it feels like to start your day by connecting with nature, yourself and your body first thing?
Have you observed how you feel when you start your morning with a walk in nature?
Compare it to mornings when you go straight to your computer, phone and work.
What differences do you notice?
In a modern society dominated by concrete walls, square shapes and artificial lighting, it's easy to lose touch with the natural world and our innate instincts. The city's density and hustle may force us to desensitise ourselves to all that is happening around us.
In the forest, the experience is the opposite and the contrast from the city is notable.
By being aware of the limitations of indoor environments and the benefits of natural surroundings, we can make a conscious choice to spend more time outdoors and integrate elements of nature into our daily lives.
3 ways nature can ground and support you:
Feet on the Earth: The earth holds a healing power, felt as we allow our feet to touch the soil and experience rich sensory adventures. Can you open up to the experience of letting your bare feet connect with the earth?
Cold Plunge: Jump into the closest ocean, lake or river and feel yourself and your body wake up. The cooler, the more fresh experience and might be the best way to do so.
A Nature Connection Space: Pick one spot in nature to visit regularly and observe the changing seasons and contrasts. It could even be a nearby park, so you can easily return to it.
Open yourself to nature's energy, its elements and feel your whole body coming ALIVE.
🌱 Today's challenge: Find your own ‘nature connection’ spot - a grounding space to keep returning to.
✍🏽 I'm currently working on a guide and 7-Day Email Adventure called 'Connection + Creation Before Consumption'. This guide aims to help you reconnect with yourself and your creative energy before the distractions of daily life take over.
It's for anyone in today's modern world, but it may especially resonate with curious and sensitive souls who are digital creators or remote workers.
🌱 Above is some of the content from the day 2 material of this 7-day adventure, called 'Grounding through Nature'.
