I have a theory about why audience growth is so momentum-based on many social platforms.
It's not just about the algorithm.
It's also about our confidence in posting and engaging as a creator. //thread// 🧵

It's human nature.
When we're "winning," we're more likely to post/engage more, take more risks, and pour more effort into producing better content.
When we're "down," we tend to post/engage less and take fewer risks.

The question is, how can we adopt the "confident" mindset more consistently? Or build it back up if it wanes?
Part of it is to post more. As you do more of it, you build more confidence.
But even before that, it's about recalibrating expectations.

When you're confident, you don't care how that next post does.
That's why you post/engage more and you're more innovative when you do.
So it's really about knowing where the line is in terms of what you should post, and then going for it within those parameters.

What do you think?
Do you find this applies to your experience as well?
Any tips for other creators about making it happen?
