John 9:3–5 (NKJV)
"Jesus answered, 'Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. I must work the works of Him who sent Me while it is day; the night is coming when no one can work. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.'”
Are you a BLAME person or a HELP person?
Unfortunately, even today many people still look at calamities as punishments from God. Jesus tried to correct this thinking. In the disciples ask if the man's blindness is a result of his own sin or the sin of his parents.
This is very telling, back then and now.
Their first instinct was to look for blame.
That tends to be our first instinct also. That man nor his parents were to blame for his blind. I'm not to blame for my Multiple Sclerosis (MS). You're not to blame for what suffering or affliction that you're currently going through.
Instead let me leave you with some questions. It would be great if you could respond below with a reply.
How do I view suffering and difficulties in my life?
Am I actively seeking out opportunities to do the works of God in my daily life, or am I simply going through the motions?
What can I do to reflect the love and grace of God in my interactions with others?
I look forward to hearing from you.
