I have mentioned in a previous essay that don't hesitate in changing passions if what you are doing is not fulfilling you, which is the case for many of you reading this. However, I understand this becomes harder when you have already fully committed to one and are currently studying it as your major in college, but I am here to tell you that it is still okay to change.
Embrace the Change
Many colleges have the dropping period just for students who decide to change their major within the first couple of months, but this essay is not aimed at these students who change early, I am trying to cater to those who have been pursuing a degree in something for a year or more and would change it if they didn't have to start all over again. For those students who are in this current situation, let me put things into perspective for you; would you rather not repeat everything and spend your whole life doing something you don't like, or repeating just a couple of years doing the thing you most love to be able to do it as a living further on? This is really a long term game. Whatever you do in the 4 years of college will affect how you live your life, so it is better to wait it out a bit in order to live your whole life doing what you want and are good at. You have to embrace the change of passions rather than seeing it as a burden just because it is going to take you longer.
No matter what point you are in life, if you don't feel good about what you are doing and it doesn't bring you joy, by all means, change.
