The one tip to delegate efficiently : Be accurate in what you ask.
But how to be accurate when you already have so much to do ?
You know when you want something done and it takes so much time explaining it, back and forth and you end up doing it yourself because « nobody gets it » ?
It gets worse when you think « oh, they'll figure it out ? » and yet, you end up with something completely out of scope.
Why ?
How can you share efficiently your expectation ?
I have a tip for you
When you delegate a task : Ask and confirm what will be done.
When I say : « Get me a chocolate cake »
One might think (especially for someone loving to cook) :
Go to the supermarket
Buy chocolate, eggs, flour, butter
Go home
Cook
Bring cake tomorrow
What I really meant was :
Go to the vending machine and bring me back a brownie
The next time you delegate a task :
Ask the person what will be done and adapt immediately your requirements.
