How to quickly change your state of mind
Paul Campillo

Besides that 40 second meditation I shared last week, here's another way to get into a more positive state.

Gratitude.

In other words, what can you be grateful for? What do you appreciate having in your life?

Doesn't have to be big. Doesn't have to be super significant.

Sometimes I think about my feet. How I have all my limbs and parts in somewhat working order.

Sometimes I think about people and the relationships in my life. I hope they all forgive me for being such an introvert, but I am grateful to you.

I am grateful for the way that I grew up, my parents, and all the hard lessons I've learned. What would I be without all those experiences?

Sometimes I'm grateful for struggle, in general. I'm grateful for how conflict, real or perceived, personal or impersonal, forges me.

I'm grateful for the technology around me, and how I grew up in a time that saw massive and drastic change, and how we're all on the precipice of another historic technology: AI.

I'm grateful for music and sound and the more than adequate speakers that help me make it through the day.

I'm grateful for ideas and imagination, and the creativity that bursts from everyone who taps this resource.

Sometimes it's enough to just think about your health. I know I started there, but it also seems to end there.

You don't think about your health much when it's great, and you miss it when it's gone. And for too many of us, we'll lose it in the most unpleasant ways. Some more gradual than others. Some more sudden.

When the headaches come and the concussion symptoms from my accident say "hello", I remember what it was like to not have these nagging inconveniences. The blurry vision is new, but I just have to remember to breathe and relax.

And that's where I'll stop. Thank you.

The air we breathe. The water we drink. The food we eat. The company we keep.

I'm appreciate you all.
