In the interest of full disclosure, I work for KryptoNurd and Algofund is our official launchpad partner.
Because of that, I wanted to participate in the Algofund private sale, which was basically a preview of their upcoming launchpad service. I'm still learning when it comes to investing with crypto and have never done anything like this before.
If you missed this one, don't feel too bad. Algofund has many more successful launches ahead of them as they come on to mainnet and start working with projects. It is now easier than ever for anyone to get in on an IDO within the Algorand ecosystem.
Here's how the process works, in general:
Make sure you have enough $ALGF in your wallet to qualify for your tier of choice (and number of tickets), because this step determines how much each participating wallet can purchase.
Click any live project, register your address, and submit tokens to the smart contract.
5,000 ALGF = Bronze (1 Ticket)
15,000 ALGF = Silver (4 Tickets)
25,000 ALGF = Gold (7 Tickets)
50,000 ALGF = Diamond (15 Tickets)
Now, you get to see what your maximum investment amount is in $ALGO, based on your tier/tickets, and decide how much you actually want to submit. This is your investment in the project.
Once submission is closed, you can withdraw the Algofund tokens you used to register for your tier.
This is a 72 hour window where you can claim your project tokens based on the $ALGO you submitted, and you'll see those numbers listed. If you do not claim during this time, the funds will be returned to your wallet.
Each launch will have it's own timing, numbers, and incentives, so do your own research and pay attention to announcements and instructions from Algofund.
