The Action Plan To Find The Dream job, Not Just The Work You Can Do
Pigballerina 🚢

1. Pour your favorite drink, grab a pen and a piece of paper, find a quiet place, and write down (PGFW)

•less than three things that you like to do career-wise in the future, not only the immediate job. Be wild. An example can be: being your own boss, writing, and developing Z technology in the X field for solving Y problem.

•If you have nothing to write, considering a lot of us never enjoyed previous work. Think about the time you were happy in the past. What were you doing? It can be anything anywhere.

2. Identify the category of your PGFW thoughts.

• If you do have some keywords in your PGFW process, You can rely on a Linkedin job search to find some positions matching those keywords.

•If you are struggling with what you want for the job. This is the time to provide yourself with multiple opportunities. Think first about what makes you happy, not how much you will get paid.

3. Dive into the category, find 10 organizations you like, and contact all possible connections to see if they can help with such open positions in the 10 organizations. Don't drown yourself in the job descriptions. You bring in you-the talent. They will train you for most of the bullet points in the job description.

4. Every time before and after you talk to a connection, or an interview, remember, again, to Pour your favorite drink, grab a pen and a piece of paper, find a quiet place, and write down (PGFW)

•Why do I want this position?

•What kind of help are you asking for?

•What benefit can I bring to the organization & an action plan.

•What should you avoid in future communication?

• what could you do differently to make the communication better

  1. Keep working on Step 1 to 4 until you find a job that motivates you.
