Day 23: My ADHD coaching offer 0.1
Sharon Dale (she/her)

My advanced coaching course ends next week and I have been giving some thought to who and what I might want to focus on. As a person with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) I recognise how beneficial coaching has been for me and so I have been considering specialising in this area. I have been researching how to describe my services. Here is a first draft:

As an ADHD coach I am a professional coach who helps people with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), develop the skills and strategies they need to manage the condition and achieve their goals. I can help with a wide range of issues related to ADHD for example:

  1. Time management: Do you have difficulty managing your time and staying organised?

  2. Executive functioning: You might have difficulty with skills such as planning, organising, and following through on tasks.

  3. Attention and focus: People with ADHD often have difficulty focusing and maintaining attention.

  4. Managing impulsivity: Is controlling your impulses something you would like to improve?

  5. Goal setting: As an ADHD coach I can help you set realistic and achievable goals for yourself and create a plan to achieve them.

Each person with ADHD is different and our brains are wired to need novelty and so a strategy will not work for everyone and one which works now may not continue to work in the future. I work with people to help them gain the skills they need to identify a challenge and to experiment to find the best current strategy for them. They will then be able to notice when things begin to be less effective so they can repeat the process.

How does it read? thanks
