If there is one thing that has helped me the most during the last two years, it has to be the LifeOS I created.
Having a structured system that would propel me towards my goals and aspirations, every day, is game changing.
Here's how I got interested in creating a LifeOS
I had just started using Notion for taking notes. I was very impressed by how flexible it is and how I can create a system of databases all linked to each other.
I used to watch various YouTube videos to refine my system. One day I stumbled upon a video by August Bradley. He talked about how he created a Life Operating System in Notion based on systems thinking principles.
That got me hooked. I watched all the videos in his Notion playlist and created my own LifeOS based on his PPV methodology.
My migration to LogSeq
When I had added enough data to Notion, I got worried about the data lock-in. For reasons described in a previous essay, I started my migration to LogSeq last year.
I had hoped to implement my LifeOS using PPV system in LogSeq.
It has been tough till now. In part because LogSeq still has a long way to go to support a complex system, and part because I have not spent enough time to create a proper system.
My goal over the next 3 months
I want to spend some time refining my LifeOS to use the best tool for the job. I will focus on having data interoperability without compromising a lot of my productivity.
