My writing process for daily atomic essays has been pretty random until now. I wrote what I felt like writing, and that was a great strategy to generate momentum. But, for the 14 days of the ship30 course, I want to try doing something different and more intentional.
I want to write more about design, research, and foresight: My goal with writing is professional development. I want to experiment with writing on topics and experiences where I draw my line of work in research and strategy consulting.
I want to write atomic essays that contribute towards a longer piece: My atomic essays are each approximately 250 words, which means, in the next 14 days, I would have written around 3500 words—which sounds pretty impressive. So, I plan to use the next 14 days, adding small chunks towards an exapansive piece.
I want to batch-outline my essays: I don't really have much of a writing process. But I want to try experimenting with some process-oriented changes. I plan to outline essays ahead of schedule, that way, they can all form a cohesive whole when put together at the end.
I hope this makes for a fun experiment in the next couple of weeks. I'll definitely share my reflections at the end.
