I grew up in a supportive family, both my mom and my dad always tried to understand my goals and helped me achieve them. I know there are a lot of parents out there who don't understand how important their supportive behavior to their son’s development is, so I feel thankful for what I have.

Even though I am in charge of my life, and I am responsible for the way I act and the decisions I make, my parents have a big impact on every decision I make and the goals I want to achieve. I am influenced by them because they have been present to support me and help me understand how life works and how to accomplish my personal goals which make my life easier.

Parents are not present just in your good moments, they will also support you in the painful moments. I think my parents' support is the reason why I was able to set my goals after I moved here, it was a hard moment, but they were always there helping me create positive experiences outside my house.

Moving to a new place is like starting from zero, even if you say you got it you will always need someone to help you perform better in all these new things that you will experience, that is why I encourage all parents to be there for their children and even more when you are immigrating, you don't imagine how important your support can be.
