#1. A solid foundation

You can't scale quickly if the business isn't already working at a foundational level.

The business had just been a side hustle. But I had years of experience and had already built effective sales channels and processes. That meant I was starting with a solid foundation of proven products, loyal customers, and great reputation.

#2. Time + effort + focus

This was the main cause of the 10X growth in 24 months.

As I mentioned, I already had everything working well. But because it was only a side hustle, I was limiting the business. I had a cushy corporate job I was scared to leave. I took the leap of faith and gave all my time, energy, and focus to growing the business.

Now I could prioritize what the business needed to grow. It worked!

#3. Reinvesting in the business

It would have been very tempting to get excited about this sudden growth.

Taking the new profits out of the business would have benefited me in the short term. But I would have been sacrificing long-term stability. Instead of taking the profit out of the business I reinvested it month by month and grew my inventory value from $25K to $250K.

This meant I added new assets to my existing foundation and could continue the new-found success into the future through expanded product lines.
