The Art & Business of Ghostwriting by Nicolas Cole is the best book ever written on Ghostwriting.

If you've read it, then you know exactly what I'm talking about.

But if you haven't, here's why:

Reason #1: The author connected from the beginning to the end.

My background has been in petroleum engineering, and my interest in writing resurfaced early this year. Having completed Ship 30 for 30, I wanted to learn more about ghostwriting. I connected with the book because Cole was not just directing or telling the readers what to do, he shared his experiences, and these experiences relate regardless of the industry you're in, IMO.

Reason #2: The insights from his experiences are valuable

Cole shared specific and valuable insights from his experiences, from when he started to where he is now. He even talked about managing feedback and how to fire a client - again, the information he shared is applicable to any business.

Reason #3: The book includes proven approaches and frameworks

It is very helpful when teaching newbies the foundation. Plus, he shared what worked and what didn't. His examples in the book for the frameworks made it easy to understand and apply to writing.

Reason #4: Quotes I resonated with - "Simplicity is velocity" and "Create your voice."

These were some of my favorite quotes in the book and my takeaways from Ship 30. I did find my voice and I created a new one. Plus, I learned lean writing is my jam.

I can't recommend this book enough.
