Time is your most valuable currency. Spend it with extra care. Don't say yes to everything!
I sometimes find myself signing up for too many activities or spending my time, money, and energy on irrelevant things. This is sometimes influenced by the behaviors of people who may have completely different goals than me.
If you've had a similar experience then read along and solve this problem by asking yourself a few simple questions.
Question 1: If it was tomorrow would I still go? π
This question is useful for events and meetings.
At the end of the week, see whatβs scheduled for the following week. Imagine each one was happening tomorrow. Then ask yourself if you would still attend. If you say no then cancel immediately.
Canceling a week ahead is fine. Otherwise, you risk looking unreliable or unprofessional and you have to show up!
Question 2: How is it relevant to me and my goals? π―
It might make sense for others but does it makes sense for you? Is it in line with your goals, worries, and aspirations?
Remember that other people are playing a different game than you and how they choose to spend their time and money is not always the best option for you.

Question 3: Why is it important to me? π€
Ask yourself if you are curious and excited about it. What about it is exciting to you?
The aim is to have a clear purpose for your actions and decisions and a clear understanding of why you're spending resources the way you are.
Let's say you know that binge-watching a Netflix show refreshes your mind and makes you 100% more effective the next day while going to a party that sounds cool would make you feel tired afterward. Netflix is the clear answer. Avoid the cool. Focus on what matters to you.
