I have set a goal to learn about the latest AI tools, starting with DALL-E.
I plan to study the model's architecture and capabilities, practice how to craft prompts that generate desired outputs effectively, and comprehend DALL-E's potential applications and limitations.
After some research, these are the 5 resources I'm using to learn:
OpenAI's DALL-E blog posts: Nothing better than learning from the creator, starting with the opening post that provides a high-level overview of the model and its capabilities and going through the others slowly.
The DALL-E paper by OpenAI: This is the original research paper describing the model and its capabilities. It looks pretty technical, but it's small. Nevertheless, I will do my best to understand it.
DALL·E 2: The Ultimate Guide by Joe Clearing: A more practical and casual read. I scanned it, and he went through all the main points, from creating an account to some advanced techniques giving examples and using less technical jargon.
Guy Parsons’ DALL-E Prompt Guide: A very practical guide to understanding prompt engineering with tips and lots of examples.
Join and keep an eye on their official Discord.
First, I plan to learn the fundamentals (sharing what I learn to reinforce it), do some prompt testing, and, as soon as possible, start a small project to put this knowledge into practice. Later I will do the same with Stable Diffusion and learn how to train my own models.
If anyone has other recommendations to start, I would love to hear them.
