Why I joined Ship 30 for 30
I joined Ship 30 for 30 to build a writing habit. I believe writing will help me think better. Thinking better will help me understand things and people better. Understanding things better will help create ideas and connections among them. Understanding people better will help me connect with them better as well. So I guess the real reason I joined Ship 30 for 30 is to connect with the world better.
What I will be writing about
I tend to spend time and money around self-development, marketing, and entrepreneurship. So, I plan on writing about those areas.
I used to compete in table tennis tournaments as an amateur. I read up on how to develop and practice skills effectively. I also researched how to develop mental toughness for competing in games. My mind experiences flow from the feedback loop of learning and practicing.
I find learning and seeing all the parts of what makes a business work fascinating. I aspire to be a successful entrepreneur one day and share this journey with others.
What would a successful 30 days look like for me?
James Clear said in Atomic Habits that to be something, you have to do it. To be a writer, I have to write. I can focus on being a better writer when I put the writing reps in. If I can write and publish at least 15 of the 30 days then that will be a success for me. I will still play for 30 though!
One of my challenges around writing is not knowing when it's ready for publishing. By limiting essays to at most 300 words, it will be easier to practice and improve my writing.
