There are 3 topics I am actively thinking about a lot these days:

Topic #1: 12 Week Year

I am interested in productivity because I like to distract myself from actually being productive. The first step is to admit that I'm a procrastination addict.

While I always fall into this never ending loop of using different productivity techniques from SMART goals, pomodoro, and time blocking, the only thing that has worked for me is adding my todo list to my calendar. If you can't find time on your calendar, it's not something you are prioritizing in your life.

I'm still going to try out the 12 week year. Because I need to organize my goals for 2023. And I am part of an accountability group.

Topic #2: Guadeloupe

During my last girls trip to Saint Martin, I said hello to some Guadeloupean soldiers standing in the hotel lobby. Of course they thought I was this strange American girl. But... they convinced me to go to this French Caribbean island—and now my next girl trip is in Guadeloupe! So I've been researching what we can do on the island from hiking to tasting the local sandwich called Bokit. Topic #3: Managing Others

I also have an interest in learning more about managing others. People are hard. And getting people to work is even harder. I'm not an Engineering Manager but having the trait to lead others to a common goal will be a useful tool in my tool belt.
