Why I'm Starting To Write Online
Samantha Bretous

In order to grow, you must push yourself out of your comfort zone. That was my New Year New Me theme in 2016. And now I get PAID as a software engineer. So I took the leap and signed up for Dickie Bush & Nicolas Cole's cohort-based course, Ship 30 for 30. Let's see what this year brings me.

Here are a few reasons why I'm pushing myself again:

  1. I want to be tech famous. Super vein I know. Judge me please! Maybe I'll get more comments, and this post will go viral. Honestly, why else do we all take our free time to create content. So much easier just to scroll endless on social media.

  2. I'm embarrassed....lately I noticed my speech decline, sometimes I skip filler words or don't articulate. So I did a quick google search -- Does improving your writing improve your speaking? 10 people on Quora said yes. That's good enough for me.

  3. I have a lot to say that can be a value to others. At least I think so. Not fair to keep all this juicy knowledge all to myself.

Over the next 30 days, I plan on writing about going from an entry level to a mid level software engineer, handling everyday workplace challenges, and growing your tech salary. So you can get PAID too.

I'm excited to start sharing what I know online.
