✔The days leading up to losing my job were particularly hard.

I had seen the writings on the wall for quite some time and had been looking for another job. I would get interviews but nothing really panned out. It was either a poor fit or the pay did not compare. More stress for less pay was not in my book.

✔Being single, I was very scared about losing my only source of income.

Finally, the axe was about to fall. I knew it was coming and panic set in. The night before, I made a prayer of surrender: "Jesus, I surrender myself to you. Take care of everything". This prayer came from the depth of me. That is when peace set in.

✔As hard as it was, losing this job was the best thing that happened to me.

I took 6 weeks off to rest and reflect. Organizational chaos aside, I had been unhappy for a while in this particular career track. I dreaded new assignments and projects. Coming to this realization, I felt immense relief.

✔It was time for this chapter to close and time to move on.
