How to Optimize your Relationship Constellation
Steve Pare RN BS MBA

The people in your life are like stars in your universe, influencing you for better or worse. It's time to assess your relationship constellation and make adjustments for a brighter journey!

Draw Your Circles

Start by drawing 3 concentric circles around a central circle (that's YOU!).

  • Inner circle: closest relationships (spouse, kids, best friends)

  • Middle circle: extended family, close colleagues, friends

  • Outer circle: acquaintances, social media connections

Populate Your Circles

Write names in each circle, starting from the inner circle. Be honest!

Navigate Your Constellation

Ask yourself these 5 questions:

  1. Who should I STOP spending time with?

  2. Who should I spend LESS time with?

  3. Who am I spending JUST the RIGHT amount of time with?

  4. Who should I spend MORE time with?

  5. Who should I START spending time with?

Adjust Your Constellation

Remember, relationships have a gravitational pull, but you can:

  • Set boundaries and eliminate toxic relationships

  • Distance yourself from energy-draining relationships

  • Invest more in relationships that support growth, yours and theirs

What adjustment will make the biggest positive impact for you?
